
Quetta. 15 soldiers of Pakistani Army have been killed in different areas of Balochistan in the last one week. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the attacks. This includes areas like Kech, Panjgur, Turbat, Surab and Nasirabad. In a statement, BLA spokesperson Zeyand Baloch said BLF fighters attacked a Pakistani Army post in Tejban area of Kech district on December 23 using automatic weapons and grenade-launcher rounds, killing two soldiers and destroying surveillance cameras inside the post. In the second attack on December 25, the BLA said it targeted a military vehicle with a remote-controlled explosive device on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in Katgari area of Panjgur district. Claimed that six Pakistani soldiers were killed and four others were injured in the blast.
The spokesperson further said that the group carried out another attack on Sunday by planting explosives, which destroyed a communication tower used by the Pakistani Army in the Dank area of Turbat and damaged “active spy cameras” installed on the structure, The Balochistan Post reported. Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said it had launched a roadblock operation on the RCD Highway at Bathgu Cross in Surab district of Balochistan on December 27.
