Shefali Jariwala left the world of music at the age of 42, this dream remained unfulfilled

The stories of stars who shine in the world of glamor are often full of untold struggles and unfulfilled dreams behind the scenes. One such story was that of Shefali Jariwala, who had created history with a song. Shefali Jariwala wanted to adopt a child, but her dream could not be fulfilled. Today, 15th December is Shefali Jariwala’s birth anniversary. This day has brought a pang of deep pain instead of happiness for millions of his fans. This year, on June 27, 2025, Shefali died due to cardiac arrest at the age of just 42.

Shefali earned name, fame and respect everything in life, but one of her heartfelt desires always remained unfulfilled. She wanted to become a ‘mother’. She always wanted to adopt a girl, this dream of Shefali remained unfulfilled forever.

Sensation created overnight

Born in an ordinary Gujarati family of Ahmedabad, Shefali Jariwala did her early studies in engineering. But perhaps fate had something else in store. Leaving the book world, she took up modeling, and from here her life took such a U-turn that she became a star overnight. In the year 2002, Shefali appeared in a remix music video ‘Kaanta Laga’. This song was not just a video, in a very short time this song became the pride of every street, nook and pub. Shefali’s bold and confident style was so evident in this music video that she immediately got the title of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’. This title became her identity, which she carried with her throughout her life.

Shefali suddenly disappeared from the industry

The popularity of this song was such that it was also used in the 2004 multi-starrer film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. In this film, Shefali shared the screen with superstar Akshay Kumar on ‘Kaanta Laga’. When her career was in top gear, Shefali suddenly took a break from the film industry and completely disappeared from the limelight. Very few people knew the reason for this. Shefali was seriously suffering from epilepsy. To fight the disease and recover completely, he had to take a long gap of 15 years from the industry.

Made a comeback in 2019

After 15 years, Shefali started a new chapter of her career. She married Parag Tyagi. In the year 2019, she participated in the country’s biggest reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’ as a wild card contestant. This show took her out of the old image of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’ and introduced the audience to her maturity, outspokenness and strong personality. Even though she could not win the show, she made a tremendous comeback in the industry.

unfulfilled dream

After ‘Bigg Boss’, when Shefali became active in social media and work, she many times talked about a special dream of her personal life. Shefali and her husband always wanted to become parents. Both of them had expressed their wish that they would adopt a child instead of a biological child. He believed that he wanted to give a home and love to a needy child. Shefali had said in an interview that she had started the process for this, but fate did not approve of it. With Shefali’s demise, her wish of giving a girl child the shade of affection remained an unfulfilled dream.
