On Iran’s violence, Larijani called Trump and Netanyahu the real murderers

Tehran. Anti-government protests in Iran have now taken a very violent and frightening turn. The death toll in this turmoil that has been going on for the last two weeks has officially crossed 2,000, after which the round of accusations and counter-accusations has intensified at the international level. Iran’s National Security Chief Ali Larijani issued a strong statement on Tuesday, calling US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the main murderers of the Iranian people. Larijani’s attack came after President Trump canceled all planned meetings with Iranian officials in protest against the bloodshed in Iran and called on protesters to occupy government institutions.
Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and former parliament speaker, directly blamed Washington and Tel Aviv for the unrest on the social media platform X. He clearly wrote in his post, We declare the names of the real murderers of the Iranian people. First Trump and second Netanyahu. Larijani alleged that America and Israel are systematically creating instability within the country and inciting violence.
On the other hand, a recent message from Donald Trump has created a stir in international diplomacy. Trump encouraged protesters at Truth Social and said, Iranian patriots, keep protesting. Take over your institutions! help is on the way. Although Trump did not clarify whether this help would be military or economic, his statement has added fuel to the fire. During an interview, Trump warned Iran that if the process of hanging protesters started, America would take very strong action. He made it clear that unless the killing of innocents stops, talks at any level with Iran are not possible.
According to human rights organizations and local reports, the situation in Iran is now becoming like a civil war. Activists claim that at least 2,003 people have been killed so far, while some international sources estimate the number to be between 12,000 and 20,000. Iranian state media has also now indirectly admitted that there have been many martyrs in the country. At the root of this entire crisis is Iran’s crumbling economy and falling value of its currency, which has now taken the form of a fierce demand for regime change. Increasing economic pressure, Trump has also announced that 25 percent import duty will be imposed on countries that trade with Iran, which has further increased Iran’s problems.
