The story revolves around school teacher Parima (Kani Kushruti), who is kidnapped and gang-raped. After this begins the long and difficult battle for justice. Standing with him is lawyer Raavi, played by Taapsee Pannu. Raavi’s attitude, her arguments in the courtroom and her anger against injustice strengthen the story. Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub plays the role of Parima’s husband and touches the heart with his sensitive acting. Whereas Kumud Mishra’s character leaves a deep impact.
The film not only shows crime, but also raises questions on the justice system, society’s thinking and the insensitivity spreading even among children.
