30 lakh houses illuminated by PM Surya Ghar Yojana, relief in electricity bills; Prime Minister Modi also appreciated

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described the achievement of installing rooftop solar in 30 lakh homes in the country as a major milestone in India’s clean energy journey. He said that this is not just a plan, but a strong step towards energy self-reliance. The Prime Minister congratulated the beneficiaries of the scheme and described it as a people’s movement related to savings, sustainability and self-reliance. The Prime Minister wrote on social media that the families adopting rooftop solar have not only reduced their electricity bills, but have also taken the country forward towards green energy. He said that this scheme is part of the government’s vision to make India energy secure, environment friendly and future ready.

The scheme reached 30 lakh houses

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, solar panels have been installed in 30 lakh houses so far. He called it a historic achievement. Joshi said the move is an example of converting sunlight into savings and sustainable development. Due to this, electricity bills are being reduced and energy security is being strengthened.

Emphasis on savings and self-reliance

The government claims that common families are getting direct benefits from rooftop solar. Along with reduction in electricity expenditure, there is also an option to sell excess electricity to the grid. This can also increase the income of families. The Prime Minister said that this scheme is making people self-reliant and is also contributing to environmental protection.

pace of green change

Prahlad Joshi said that this achievement shows the pace of green transformation taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. The government aims to make the country a leader in the field of clean energy. He said that solar energy is being promoted by reducing dependence on traditional sources of energy. The Prime Minister reiterated that more houses will be connected to this scheme in the coming times. The government’s goal is to ensure that affordable and clean energy reaches every family. Experts believe that if rooftop solar continues to expand at this pace, India will move rapidly towards energy self-sufficiency.
