Indications received after PM Modi’s visit, top officials said – efforts for agreement continue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Israel has ended. Regarding this, Israel’s Consul General Yaniv Revach said that the relations between India and Israel will now be stronger than ever. He said that both the countries are trying to implement the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) soon.

Mentioned about deep friendship between the leaders

Revach mentioned the old relationship between PM Modi and Benjamin Netanyahu. He told that even when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had gone to Israel and met Prime Minister Netanyahu at that time. During this recent visit, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Israeli Parliament, its citizens and the Indian community. The Israeli Parliament has bestowed its highest honor on PM Modi, he said, which is also in recognition of the strengthening of India-Israel relations over the last ten years.

Said this on solidarity and defense cooperation against terrorism

Yaniv Revach further said that both countries are old civilizations and have been victims of terrorism. While PM Modi condemned the October 7 terrorist attack, Israel has also given full support to India against terrorism. In future, both the countries will together create modern defense systems like ‘air-launched ballistic missile’. The main emphasis of the partnership will now not be on merely purchasing goods, but on jointly developing and producing technology.

Cooperation will increase in these areas

Apart from defense and space, both the countries will also work together in areas like energy, cyber security, AI, fintech, quantum technology, biotechnology and semiconductors. Revach described India as a ‘global superpower’ and the world’s largest democracy. He said that this visit has come at a very important time, which reflects the unique relationship between the two countries.
