Fire breaks out in 90-storey building in Dubai, smoke spreads near Marina Tower

Dubai. A fire broke out in the famous residential skyscraper 23 Marina Tower located in Dubai on Saturday night. This incident occurred at a time when missile and drone attacks were being carried out by Iran in the Gulf region. In several videos that surfaced, thick smoke was seen rising from the building. This 90-storey building is counted among the most posh areas of Dubai Marina, where a large number of foreign citizens, professionals and investors live. However, officials later said that there was no direct drone attack on the building. UAE’s air defense system stopped a possible attack in the sky. At the same time, due to the falling debris, there was minor damage to the exterior of the building and a fire broke out.
According to media reports, a statement said that after successful interception by the Air Defense, the debris fallen hit the exterior of a building in Dubai Marina, causing a minor accident. The situation is now completely under control and there is no news of anyone being injured.
As soon as information about this incident was received, fire brigade and emergency services immediately reached the spot. As a precaution, some parts of the building have been evacuated. Authorities have not yet released a damage estimate.
According to the report, this incident in Dubai has happened at a time when the security situation in the Gulf region remains very tense. The UAE Defense Ministry had already warned citizens to remain alert about possible missile and drone attacks from Iran. People also heard loud explosions in many parts of UAE. These sounds came while the air defense system was destroying missiles and drones in the air. Let us tell you that after the military attacks on Iran by America and Israel on February 28, tension in the region has increased rapidly. In response, Iran has launched several missile and drone attacks. According to reports, reports of explosions have also come to light in countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also showed a strict stance regarding the country’s security. He said that one should not make the mistake of considering UAE as weak. He said that the UAE is certainly attractive, but do not be fooled by its exterior. The UAE is strong and not an easy target. Due to the tense situation, air services in Dubai have also been affected for some time.
