Anne Jacobson, author of ‘Nuclear War: A Scenario’ and an Armageddon expert, warned that fires from nuclear explosions could be as hot as 100 million degrees Celsius. He said that crores of people would be killed in the initial blasts, but the real devastation would begin after that. In agricultural areas such as Iowa and Ukraine, ten years of snow and cold would cause complete failure of farming, causing people to die of hunger and exposure. Jacobson said that damage to the ozone layer and the presence of radiation will make the situation more dire.
People in Australia and New Zealand will survive, but will have to live in darkness, struggle for food and seek shelter underground to avoid radiation. However, the distance and geographical location of these countries from the sea will help them reduce the temperature and remain safe to some extent.
