Abu Dhabi’s largest Hindu temple temporarily closed, worship to continue on security alert

Abu Dhabi. The Beps Hindu Temple, Abu Dhabi, located in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, was temporarily closed due to the current security situation. The temple administration has announced that this order will remain in force from Monday till further official orders, and devotees and visitors will not be able to enter the temple premises.
However, the lords and saints residing in the temple will continue regular prayers and worship. The temple administration has appealed to the citizens to maintain peace, avoid rumors and stay indoors as much as possible. Also, everyone has been asked to strictly follow the safety instructions issued by government agencies.
Let us tell you here that the Beps Temple, built under the Bochanvasi Swaminarayan tradition, is the largest Hindu temple in the UAE and is considered a symbol of Indian architecture and culture. Spread over an area of 27 acres, this temple has been designed in traditional Nagara style.
The main structure of the temple is spread over 13.5 acres, with a length of 262 feet, width of 180 feet and height of 108 feet. Seven grand pinnacles and five domes further enhance its grandeur. The construction cost around Rs 700 crore and used 50 thousand cubic feet of Italian marble, 18 lakh cubic feet of Indian sandstone and 18 lakh stone bricks. The special thing is that no iron or steel was used in it; The entire structure is made of lime and marble, so that it remains safe for thousands of years.
The amphitheater in the temple complex is built in the style of the ghats of Banaras, with the symbolic streams of Ganga and Yamuna visible while walking. A ray of light is also shown to represent the Saraswati river, symbolizing the Triveni Sangam. The eight statues installed at the entrance represent the eight values of Sanatan Dharma.
