Canada’s PM Carney said – Whatever happens, we cannot step back from fighting the war.

Ottawa. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has given a big statement regarding the ongoing fierce conflict in the Middle East, which has intensified the stir in international politics. Speaking to reporters in Ottawa on Thursday, Prime Minister Carney made it clear that the possibility of Canada’s military involvement in the war being waged by the United States and Israel against Iran cannot be completely ruled out. If the circumstances become war-like, then no matter what happens, we cannot shy away from fighting the war. His comment is also considered important because earlier he had said in a statement that some American-Israeli attacks that gave rise to the conflict appear to be outside the scope of international law. However, this change in his stance now points towards the changing military situation in the region.
Clarifying his government’s approach towards Iran, Mark Carney said that Iran is the main source of instability and terrorism in the Middle East. He strongly criticized Iran’s human rights record, insisting that it should not be allowed to develop or acquire nuclear weapons at any cost. According to Carney, Canada and its international partners continue to urge Iran to completely dismantle its nuclear program. He reiterated his commitment, citing G7 summit discussions and the tough sanctions reimposed by the United Nations last year. Mark Carney showed a similar united stance during a joint press conference with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra. Both leaders appealed to reduce the growing hostilities in the Middle East, but also described Iran’s nuclear ambitions as a major threat to global security. Canada’s tough stance indicates that if tensions between Iran and Israel escalate further, the Canadian military may take part in direct military action in conjunction with the Western alliance. This development is indicating a major change in the strategy of western countries in the coming days.
