Dancer Shakti Mohan starts global cultural tour

Mumbai . Renowned Indian dancer Shakti Mohan has embarked on a global cultural journey through her special YouTube project ‘Dance Across the World’. This journey is not just limited to different countries, but is also an attempt to understand different civilizations and their dance traditions from a new perspective. Recently she launched a new episode of the project, in which she was seen exploring the ancient and powerful folk dance styles of Russia. At the launch event, his friends, family and industry people appreciated his unique vision.
According to Shakti Mohan, this project is very close to his heart. He said his aim is to connect thousands of years old dance styles with today’s young generation, so that these art forms can survive. In the first season, she has learned the traditional dance forms of many countries and presented them to her audience. He believes that there are countless dance traditions in the world which, despite their beauty, are gradually becoming unknown. At such a time, it is necessary that these dance styles be presented on a modern stage and in a new style, so that the youth can take interest in them. She described the Russian folk dance experience as the most challenging and memorable experience of her career. For Shakti, who had a deep connection with Indian classical dance, especially Bharatanatyam, Russian dance was a completely different world, with fast movements, unique techniques and facial expressions being of utmost importance.
The difference between these two styles makes the learning process even more interesting for them. During the trip he was also impressed by the warmth of Russian culture. He said that a local choreographer was so impressed by his dedication that he gifted him a special headgear of Russian tradition. For them, this gift is not just a souvenir, but a symbol of respect and connection between two different cultures. This global dance journey of Shakti Mohan proves that art has no limits.
