Even after being in power for 10 years, Modi kept himself away from the arrogance of power.

Sydney. Former Australian PM Tony Abbott has praised PM Narendra Modi. He said that despite being in power for more than 10 years, PM Modi has kept himself away from the arrogance of power. India recently organized the 11th edition of Raisina Dialogue 2026. Abbott said this regarding this. Talking about the growing global importance of the strategic forum, its inception and leadership role in India’s foreign policy, Abbott said that Raisina Dialogue has been taking place in Delhi every March since 2016. Like other global gatherings, it brings together political leaders, senior military commanders, prominent businessmen, journalists and think tank heads to talk about pressing issues; But it’s better than Davos because it’s not really a campaign to praise the hosting government.
According to media reports, Abbott praised PM Modi’s leadership style and his willingness to listen to global voices despite being one of the most influential leaders in the world today. Abbott said that in every dialogue so far, PM Modi has set an example by coming to the opening session and listening to the chief guest, last year the PM of New Zealand and this year the President of Finland, but did not speak himself. Abbott said that PM Modi is the third most powerful leader in the world today. After the presidents of the United States and China, he is perhaps the most powerful man in the world, yet he does not boast of leadership and also has the art of listening to others.
Former Australian PM Abbott rejected criticism from some international observers that India has become less democratic under the BJP government. He said that as far as the thinking that India has somehow become a dictatorial country under BJP rule is concerned, this is complete nonsense, in a country which has free and fair elections, a completely free media and a strongly independent judiciary, there is no serious threat of dictatorship and no dictatorship will hold such a global conference where nothing is forbidden and no one is silenced. After all, this year’s talks were attended by both the Israeli foreign minister and Iran’s deputy foreign minister.
