India lodged a strong protest

जग्रेब. After countries like Canada, America, Britain and Australia, now Khalistani radicals have started expanding their violent activities in Eastern Europe. In a very serious and shocking incident, the Indian Embassy in Croatia’s capital, Croatia, has been targeted by Khalistani supporters. This incident, which happened just before Republic Day, has created a stir in international diplomatic circles. Taking this matter very seriously, the Government of India has lodged its strong protest with the Croatian administration and has raised questions on the security arrangements.
According to the information, some anti-social elements associated with the banned terrorist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) violated the security of the Indian Embassy in Zagreb. These miscreants not only tried to forcibly enter the embassy premises, but also caused a lot of vandalism there. According to eyewitnesses and officials, these Khalistani supporters wrote anti-India slogans on the walls of the embassy and tried to remove the Indian tricolor proudly flying there and replace it with the Khalistani flag. This incident has happened at a time when India is preparing for its Republic Day celebrations and many prominent leaders of the European Union are going to visit India.
India on Thursday strongly condemned this unauthorized entry and vandalism incident. An official statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs said that the matter has been strongly raised with the Croatian authorities both in New Delhi and in Zagreb. India has demanded in clear words that the culprits responsible for this condemnable and illegal act should be immediately identified and brought to justice. Citing the Vienna Convention, the ministry reminded that under international laws it is the primary responsibility of the host country to ensure the security of any diplomatic premises and entry without permission is prohibited.
The Ministry of External Affairs further said in its statement that such incidents expose the violent character and nefarious intentions of those who are conspiring against the sovereignty of India. India has appealed to law enforcement authorities globally to take cognizance of such incidents. This attack is considered more worrying because till now such activities were mainly limited to the countries of the Five Eyes group. Such an attack in an EU member country like Croatia indicates that these terrorist groups are now expanding their network to new targets. According to intelligence agencies, terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has instigated his operatives to create unrest on the occasion of Republic Day, after which security agencies are on high alert.
