New Delhi . India’s External Affairs Ministry gave a befitting reply to Bangladesh, saying India categorically rejects the claims made in the press statement by the interim government of Bangladesh. India has consistently reiterated its stand to conduct free, fair, inclusive and credible elections in Bangladesh in a peaceful environment. India has never allowed its soil to be used for activities against the interests of Bangladesh. The Ministry of External Affairs said, we hope that the interim government of Bangladesh will take all necessary measures to ensure internal law and order, including the conduct of peaceful elections.
This response of India has come after Bangladesh’s allegation in which Bangladesh has claimed that Sheikh Hasina is being allowed to issue inflammatory statements, in which she is inciting her supporters to engage in terrorist activities in Bangladesh. His statement is aimed at sabotaging the upcoming parliamentary elections. The statement said that Bangladesh once again reiterates its demand for the early extradition of Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, so that they can face the death sentence awarded by the special tribunal last month.
