Here, after the accident, hospitals in Madrid have also been put on alert. 73 injured passengers have been taken to six different hospitals.
High-speed services suspended
High-speed rail services between Madrid and Andalusia have been suspended following the accident. Officials said that as a safety precaution, all trains running on the route have been sent back to their starting points. The Red Cross sent an ambulance from Córdoba and three more ambulances from Jaén. It also arranged for essential supplies for the passengers of both the trains.
