‘Makers consider stars as insurance policy’, Mona Singh said – No one will make a Rs 100 crore film in my name

TV actress Mona Singh, famous as Jassi, is now one of the busiest actresses in the industry. Along with films, she is also continuously working in web series. Recently Mona Singh has been seen in the second season of Netflix series ‘Kohra’. Despite continuously playing important roles in films and series, Mona Singh says that producers do not want to take the risk of making a film with a budget of Rs 100 crore in her name.

Star on poster brings money at box office

The actress further said that producers look at stars like an insurance policy, so that they can get their money back. A star on the poster guarantees box office collection. Filmmaking is a business after all. You know you are investing and you expect to get much more money back than that. On the other hand, the characters remain just service providers. This is the truth. If you are talking about a Rs 100 crore film with me in the lead role, I don’t see that happening.
