Malala Yousafzai talked about the rights of Iranian women

IranNobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has supported the ongoing protests in Iran. He said that these protests did not happen suddenly. The government in Iran has long imposed strict restrictions on the freedom of girls and women. Especially in education they get very few rights. She said, ‘Like other girls in the world, Iranian girls also want to live with respect and dignity. She wants to take decisions of her own free will, not just in studies but in her entire life.’ Malala Yousafzai said, ‘People of Iran have been speaking against this injustice for many years. But even after risking their lives, their voice continues to be suppressed. These rules are not limited to schools only. There are different types of controls on women across society – like sitting separately, being monitored all the time and being punished if they make mistakes.’ She said that because of all this, women do not get the right to live a life of their choice, take decisions and feel safe. Iranian women and girls are now demanding that their voices be heard and that they decide their own future.

What was said in support of Iranian women

Malala Yousafzai clearly said that she stands with the people of Iran and especially the girls. He stressed that the future of Iran should be created by the people of Iran themselves and women and girls should play an important role in it. No outside country or repressive government should interfere in this. It is known that currently big demonstrations are taking place in Iran against inflation, unemployment and restrictions on women’s rights. This statement of Malala is giving strong support to the struggle of Iranian women all over the world.
