More than 1 lakh visas canceled

Washington. America has canceled more than 1 lakh visas so far in 2025. These include about 8 thousand students and 2,500 special work visas. This action has been taken as part of strictness on immigration in cases related to criminal activities. The information was given by the US State Department. The Foreign Ministry said in a social media post that to keep America safe, such people will be expelled from the country. According to the ministry, the visas of foreign nationals against whom crime related cases have come to light have been cancelled. The number of visas canceled in 2025 is more than double that of 2024. About 40 thousand visas were canceled in 2024. According to the report, most of the cases in 2025 were business and tourist visas, in which overstay cases were reported. At the same time, visas of 8 thousand students and 2,500 special visa holders were canceled due to law and order related matters.
