No need for historical nonsense to end war: Zelensky

Geneva. There was a meeting between Russia and Ukraine in Geneva on Wednesday. After this meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky got angry at Russia. Zelensky posted on X and wrote – I do not need historical nonsense to end this war and move towards diplomacy, because this is just a way to delay. I have read no less history books than Putin and I have learned a lot. I know more about their country than they know about Ukraine, just because I’ve been to Russia, to many cities, and I knew a lot of people there. He would never have visited Ukraine so many times. They only went to big cities. I also visited small towns, everywhere from the North to the South.
According to media reports, Zelensky said that I know Putin’s thinking, that is why I do not want to waste time on all these things. It’s about them1 They decided to create such a system. The Russians have decided to change themselves. Zelensky said that a big war is being waged against us. This is our life. All I want to tell them is that I think we need to resolve this in the most successful way. I mean, this war has to end soon, so I only want to talk about such things.
Zelensky said that I know that the Americans and perhaps some European countries are discussing with Russia a new document between NATO and Russia. When they have such a document, they can discuss everything, but for me it is important that they discuss with us our possible place in NATO. Not just with the Russians, with us, because it’s about us, but they can do it without us. Maybe we don’t know anything. In any case, if anyone is surprised, we will react to it.
