Nobel was not given to me, now peace is not my responsibility…Greenland is needed, Trump’s letter leaked

Washington. US President Donald Trump has expressed his displeasure over not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in a letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storey. The leaking of the letter revealed that Trump wrote that after not receiving the Nobel Prize, he no longer feels the responsibility of maintaining peace in the world. He made it clear that peace is important, but now his priority will be America’s interest. Trump acknowledged that his attempt to take over Greenland from the United States was motivated by this irritation.
In a letter to Norway’s PM, Trump said that Denmark, which has an autonomous region of Greenland, cannot protect this area from Russia or China, hence why should they have ownership rights over it. “Boats arrived there hundreds of years ago, but American boats also arrived,” he said. Trump indicated in his letter that after not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, his global outlook has changed and now he is going to pay more attention to America’s strategic interests. Norwegian Prime Minister Storey has confirmed the letter. He said that he, along with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, had sent a letter to Trump opposing the imposition of tariffs on Norway and other countries. He received Trump’s letter in the same context. Apart from this, according to the report, Trump has also sent such letters to many European ambassadors. Trump has said several times that he will not accept any other option than American ownership of Greenland. He accused Denmark of failing to deal with the alleged “Russian threat” in the Arctic region. Trump wrote that NATO has asked Denmark to ensure security in Greenland for the last 20 years, but Denmark has not been able to take any action. He warned that unless the US was allowed to purchase Greenland, he would impose increasing tariffs on European allies. The leaders of Denmark and Greenland completely rejected Trump’s stance. He made it clear that Greenland is not for sale and is not to be a part of America. European officials also emphasize that Greenland is already part of NATO’s collective defense system. Trump argues that Greenland is important from a US security and strategic point of view due to the growing presence of China and Russia, but Denmark and Europe are unwilling to allow it to be sold or transferred. The letter also shows that personal motivations and expectations of rewards also influence Trump’s global policies. In response to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, he directly spoke about international conflict and American pressure on strategic assets. The development reflects tensions between the US and Europe and shows how the Trump administration shapes its approach to global affairs based on personal interests and national interests.
