Oxygen mask suddenly opened in Pakistan flight, emergency landing had to be done due to panic

Lahore. Suddenly oxygen masks started falling loose on a flight in Pakistan. Seeing this, panic spread among the passengers and there was panic. When the situation did not improve, the plane had to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. An alert of technical fault was received in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight going from Jeddah to Lahore. This incident caused great panic among the passengers on board the plane. According to a PIA spokesperson, flight PK-860 was scheduled to reach Lahore at 8 pm as per schedule, but after a technical problem surfaced, the flight was diverted towards King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. There were 381 passengers on board the plane, including a large number of Umrah pilgrims. According to reports, the oxygen masks in the plane fell on their own after a technical alert, causing panic and chaos among the passengers. However, the pilot and crew handled the situation and made a safe landing. The report also reminded that last month, another PIA flight PK-859 (Lahore to Jeddah) had to be diverted and landed at Karachi airport during take-off because the first officer’s windshield was cracked. Not only this, in March this year, a domestic PIA flight PK-306 had landed in Lahore in such a condition when one wheel of its landing gear was found missing. The surprising thing was that despite investigation, no trace of that wheel was found. These continuously unfolding incidents have once again raised serious questions regarding PIA’s technical supervision and passenger safety.
