Islamabad. Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir married his daughter to his nephew. Pakistani media has confirmed this. A journalist from Pakistan has uploaded a video on X, in which he has said that Asim Munir has got his daughter married in his own family. Another journalist has said that Field Marshal Asim Munir has married his daughter to his brother Qasim Munir’s son.
The journalist has said in his video that this marriage took place in Rawalpindi last week and according to the information I have, this marriage took place with his brother’s son. He has said that it was a high profile marriage and his nephew was earlier a captain in Pakistan Army and his name is Abdur Rehman and he is the son of Syed Qasim Munir. He said that Asim Munir has four daughters and this was the marriage of his third daughter.
The Pakistani journalist further said that Asim Munir’s nephew, to whom he got his daughter married, was earlier a captain in the army, but later he joined the civil services. In Pakistan, there is a quota in civil services for army officers and now he is working as Assistant Commissioner. He said that many big personalities including Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif had attended this wedding. Apart from this, many retired generals and Chief of Army Staff also attended the wedding. The journalist revealed that the President of the United Arab Emirates did not attend the wedding, but there were more than 400 guests at the wedding, but due to security reasons, this function was kept very secret.
