Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar’s Role in Building Research Infrastructure

One of Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar’s key contributions lies in building strong research infrastructure within academic institutions. Serving in senior leadership roles, he has supported the creation of advanced research centers through national and international funding. His expertise in research planning, grant acquisition, and project execution has enabled institutions to expand their research capabilities. These efforts have strengthened institutional credibility and encouraged a sustainable culture of innovation and scholarly excellence.

Prof. Dr. Mamidanna Sreedhar, an internationally experienced academician, researcher, and consultant, continues to play a transformative role in advancing research, education, and healthcare innovation across India and beyond. A native of Andhra Pradesh, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar pursued his higher education in the United States and went on to work as a Consultant and Scientist with IBM Research & Development Labs in the USA and Canada.

After building a strong global research career, he returned to India in 2010 with a vision to strengthen the country’s academic and research ecosystem. Since then, he has served in Director-level leadership roles at leading private universities, including Lovely Professional University (LPU) and BBD University. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing advanced research centers by securing grants from various national and international funding agencies, significantly contributing to institutional research growth.

Prof. Dr. Sreedhar’s research spans multiple interdisciplinary domains, including artificial intelligence, medical sciences, cloud computing, biology, and human rights. He has published numerous research papers, holds multiple patents, and has authored several research books that have gained recognition among scholars, professionals, and policymakers.

His outstanding contributions have earned him several prestigious national and international honors. Among them is the renowned Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Award, presented by the Governor of West Bengal. He has also been recognized by the Speaker of Delhi, the Minister of State of Jammu & Kashmir, the Governor of Chhattisgarh, and various state ministers across India. Internationally, he has been honored by two Chief Ministers of Nepal for his expert involvement in resolving complex hydro power–related challenges.

Adding another milestone to his career, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar’s latest research book, “New Era: Medical Technology,” is now ready for publication and release. The book explores the growing role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, covering AI-based diagnosis and disease prediction, surgical applications, patient care, public health, and healthcare system enhancement. The publication is expected to serve as a valuable reference for healthcare institutions and professionals worldwide.

Speaking to the media, Prof. Dr. Sreedhar acknowledged the support of mentors, collaborators, and institutions who stood by him throughout the challenging yet rewarding journey of completing the research work.

Currently, he serves as an advisor to several upcoming super speciality hospitals, including Eastbond Super Speciality Hospital, ThreeDev Super Speciality Hospital, and Ramsay Super Speciality Hospital, where he continues to guide strategic planning and technology-driven healthcare solutions.

He also revealed that two additional research patents and books are currently under review, signaling continued contributions to research, innovation, and global knowledge development in the near future.
