Russian newspaper Kommersant gave information about this incident. Only the report of the Russian newspaper reveals why Shahbaz Sharif had to wait for Putin for 40 minutes. Erdoğan’s meeting with Putin lasted so long that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was waiting in an adjacent room, was left sitting alone for half an hour, the newspaper reported. He got tired of sitting alone. After this he got up, opened the door and went straight to the hall where the meeting was going on between Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Another Russian newspaper MKRU also mentioned this meeting. The newspaper said that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also attended the meeting between the Presidents of Turkey and Russia during which regional security issues and Turkey’s role as a mediator were also discussed. However, after this joint meeting, no official statement has been issued by the Pakistani government yet.

However, RT India later removed the video saying that the post may be a misrepresentation of events.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif also held bilateral meetings with the presidents of Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Iran on Friday. Apart from this, he also held informal meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon and Kyrgyzstan President Sadir Japarov.
After Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s bilateral meetings with several leaders, the Prime Minister’s House also released a report on these meetings. Regarding Putin and Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan said, no formal bilateral meeting took place between the two leaders, but in a video released by the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif and Vladimir Putin can be seen shaking hands and talking.
