Qatar said on Iran-America tension – the consequences will be very disastrous

Doha. The ongoing internal rebellion in Iran and the violent crackdown on protesters has intensified the sounds of war in the Gulf countries. US President Donald Trump’s aggressive stance after the death toll in Iran crossed 2,000 has created concern in the entire region. For the first time, a Muslim country has openly expressed its opinion on this serious crisis. Qatar has issued an important statement warning that if military tensions between the US and Iran increase, its consequences will be disastrous for the entire region.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari cautioned the global community during a press conference held in Doha. He said that the situation has become extremely critical after the US’s threats of possible air strikes on Iran. Qatar believes that military confrontation is not the solution to any problem and will threaten the stability not only of the Middle East but of the entire world. The spokesperson stressed that Qatar still believes in the possibilities of a diplomatic solution and is in constant contact with its partners to mediate between the two sides. This concern of Qatar is not unnecessary. When the US attacked Iranian nuclear bases in June 2025, Iran retaliated by targeting the US military base Al Udeid in Qatar. Even at that time, Qatar had played an important role in brokering an agreement between Washington and Tehran. At present, the increasing activity at this American base in Qatar has given rise to speculations that America may initiate major military action against Iran at any time.
On the other hand, Iran’s attitude also seems to be very strict. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baghar Ghalibaf has responded sharply in response to President Trump inciting protesters to occupy institutions and canceling meetings with officials. He has clearly stated that if the US intervenes, US forces and their ships will be legitimate targets for Iran. At the same time, according to information received from human rights organizations and various sources, the situation in Iran is getting out of control, where the death toll is continuously increasing. Although the White House has indicated that the door to diplomacy is not completely closed, Trump’s warning that help is on the way has increased the fear of war.
