Putin praised the Taliban government profusely. He said that we have to accept that Afghanistan has been facing civil war for many decades. But the Taliban government took control of Afghanistan. Apart from this, the Afghan government is doing very good work on many points.

There has been tension in the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan for some time. In such a situation, the Russian President’s praise of the Afghan government will irritate Pakistan.
