One attacker killed on the spot
Regarding the attack, New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said that 50-year-old gunman Sajid Akram was killed by the police. At the same time, his son 24 year old Navid Akram was injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The attackers were Pakistani citizens
Local media reports quoted American intelligence officials involved in the investigation as saying that both were Pakistani citizens. The photo of Akram’s New South Wales driving license is also going viral on social media.

Eyewitnesses said that Sydney’s Bondi Beach is very famous, which was packed with people on Sunday. The attackers opened fire for about 10 minutes. Due to this, hundreds of people started running here and there on the sand and on the nearby roads. Police say about 1,000 people attended the targeted Hanukkah event, which was held in a small park near the beach.
