In the AI Impact Summit 2026 organized at Bharat Mandapam in the capital Delhi, there is a wide discussion on how Artificial Intelligence should be used in the interest of the general public and how to solve the challenges related to it. Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that serious discussions are being held with ministers of 30 countries on preventing possible misuse of AI in the media sector. He warned that deepfakes and synthetic content could pose a major threat to democracy, creative industries and the credibility of information, hence global cooperation on their control and responsible use is necessary.
