Volcanic eruption in America, lava spewing up to 1000 feet

America. Once again intense volcanic activity is being seen in Kilauea Volcano. Located on the Big Island of Hawaii state, this volcano is spewing lava up to a height of about 1000 feet. Lava, small stones and ash emanating from the volcano are falling in the surrounding areas, due to which some areas have had to be temporarily closed for safety reasons. According to media reports, this new activity of lava eruption started on the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Scientists say that this is the 43rd incident so far in this volcanic period that will continue from December 2024. Experts have not yet decided how long this activity will continue. This has happened many times in the past too, when the volcano remained active for a few hours and on some occasions it continued spewing lava for several days.

According to officials, the lava is currently confined within the summit crater of Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park and poses no direct threat to nearby residential areas. However, fine particles like ash and glass from the volcano are falling in the surrounding areas and on parts of Highway 11. For security reasons, the administration has temporarily closed some areas around the park and a part of the highway. As a precautionary measure, the local administration has also prepared a temporary shelter for the people, so that in case of any emergency, people can be kept at a safe place. At the same time, the National Weather Service has also advised people to remain alert in view of the possibility of ash fall. Experts say that tephra i.e. ash and small stones coming out of the volcano can cause problems related to eyes, skin and breathing. Additionally, it can also damage rainwater harvesting tanks and water collection systems that are commonly used in many areas of the Big Island. Let us tell you that Kilauea is counted among the most active volcanoes in the world. Volcanic activities take place here from time to time. At present, the administration and scientists are continuously monitoring the situation and are on alert to deal with any possible threat.
