Zombie knife culture in Britain took the life of a 16-year-old teenager

Bristol. For any mother, her child is her whole world, but if the same child starts expressing fear of his death again and again, then it is no less than a scary dream. One such heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Bristol city of Britain, where 16 year old Mikey Ronan was murdered in accordance with his own fear. Mikey often told his mother, Haley, that he was afraid someone would stab him. He had already predicted his death after seeing the increasing crimes and incidents of stabbing around him, which eventually turned into a horrifying reality.
Sharing her memories of the day of the accident, Haley told that Mikey was going to a house party that evening. While leaving the house, he said ‘love you mom’ to his mother on the phone, which proved to be his last words. Haley was at an awards ceremony at that time and she had no idea that her son would leave this world within a few hours. When he checked his phone after the ceremony was over, there were more than 30 missed calls on it. When he called back in panic, Mikey’s friend screamed that he had been stabbed. By the time Haley reached the spot, the police cordon and forensic tent had made it clear that her world was in ruins.
The facts that emerged in the police investigation were extremely disturbing. Only one blow to Mikey’s neck with a zombie knife (an extremely deadly and large knife) was enough to take his life. The most shocking thing was that Mikey had no connection with any criminal gang nor did he have any previous record, he was just a normal teenager who loved music. In this case, the police arrested 16-year-old Shane Cunningham and his associates. The court found Shane guilty of murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment, in which he will have to spend at least 16 years in jail.
Despite the court decision, Haley’s pain has not diminished. He says this is justice incomplete because his son will never come back, while the murderer will be able to walk out of jail and start a new life before he is even half his life. Haley is now demanding the government to impose a complete ban on dangerous weapons like zombie knives so that no other family has to suffer this tragedy. Experts also believe that at present the pattern of crime among the youth has changed. Now teenagers have started considering it a normal thing to keep a knife with them in the name of their safety, due to which even a small argument turns into murder in a moment. This incident is a serious warning on the increasing violence and easy availability of deadly weapons in the society.
