Dhaka. The condition of former Bangladesh Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) President Khaleda Zia remains “extremely critical”. His personal doctor gave this information. 80-year-old Khaleda Zia, who is suffering from several health complications, is undergoing treatment at ‘Evercare’ hospital since November 23 and was put on ventilator on December 11. Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid said, it cannot be said that his condition has improved. At present his condition remains very critical.
According to the report, Dr. Zahid appealed to the countrymen to pray for Jiah’s speedy recovery. He said, “If by the grace of Allah she comes out of this critical phase, then we may hear some positive news.”
According to party members, Khaleda’s son and BNP acting president Tariq Rehman left around midnight after spending more than two hours in the hospital. Both local and foreign doctors are engaged in his care. His daughter-in-law Dr. Zubaida Rehman is also actively participating in the treatment process. BNP had earlier indicated that it wanted to take Khaleda Zia abroad for advanced medical treatment. However, his current physical condition does not allow air travel, so his treatment is currently continuing in the country.
