Will India and Pakistan face each other again? American think tank’s warning

There was a conflict between India and Pakistan in the month of May 2025. However, ceasefire was imposed within a few days. This conflict also came to light after the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor. Now the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), a big think tank of America, has made a big claim regarding the relations between the two countries. According to this, there may be a war between India and Pakistan once again in the year 2026.

According to CFR report Conflicts to Watch in 2026, there is a possibility of conflict between the two countries due to increase in terrorist activities in Kashmir. Even before this, there was conflict between the two countries due to terrorist incidents. In the latest report of the organization, it has been issued a warning that there may be a war between India and Pakistan next year.

The CFR report is based on a survey of American foreign policy experts. It includes former diplomats, military officers, professors and policy experts. However, currently ceasefire is going on between the two countries.

What did the report of the American think tank tell?

The report of the American think tank clearly stated that if there is a war between India and Pakistan. So this can have a direct impact on America. Recently, inputs had come to light that more than 30 terrorists are hiding in Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from India-Pakistan, other threats have also been mentioned in the report. According to CFR, there is a possibility of armed conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2026. However, its impact will be less on American interests.

There were clashes in Pakistan and Afghanistan

Islamabad and Kabul were involved in border clashes in October after the Afghan Taliban and militants launched unprovoked attacks on Pakistani border posts. More than 200 Taliban and allied militants were killed in the clashes, while 23 Pakistani soldiers were martyred defending the motherland.

The conflict started after the Pahalgam attack

Terrorists had targeted tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Only after this, the tension between India and Pakistan increased. India had started Operation Sindoor to take revenge from the terrorists. After this there was conflict between the two countries. However, after some time there was a ceasefire between the two.
