Iran’s rapid attacks on American military bases, airspace closed amid tension in five countries

After the joint attack by America and Israel, now Iran has also started retaliating. Apart from Israel, Iranian attacks on many American military bases in Gulf countries have intensified. Iran has attacked US military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

US military bases targeted in Doha

Iran has targeted US military bases in Doha, Qatar. Qatar’s Defense Ministry has said that it has successfully foiled several attacks targeting the country. The Ministry of Defense confirms that the threat was immediately addressed in accordance with the security plan as soon as it was detected and all missiles were intercepted before reaching Qatari soil

What has happened so far in Iran’s attacks?

Iran has targeted US military bases in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and UAE. Bahrain has confirmed that the headquarters of the US Navy’s 5th Fleet has been the target of a missile attack. Qatar’s Defense Ministry says an Iranian missile has been intercepted by a Patriot defense system. News of a massive explosion has been received from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have closed their airspace. Earlier, Iran’s IRGC had confirmed that it had fired missiles and drones towards Israel following the US-Israel attacks.

Many international flights suspended amid tension

According to reports, Hungary’s Wizz Air immediately suspended all flights to and from Israel, Dubai in UAE as well as Abu Dhabi and Amman in Jordan till March 7. Germany’s Lufthansa suspended Saturday and Sunday flights to and from Dubai, Tel Aviv, Lebanon’s Beirut and Oman’s Muscat. Meanwhile, KLM of Netherlands has canceled flights from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv. Oman Air suspended all flights to Iraq’s capital Baghdad. In such a situation, Russia has stopped all flights to Iran and Israel. Kuwait also closed all flights to Iran until further notice. Iraq has closed its airspace, canceling all incoming and outgoing aircraft.
