Pyongyang. North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un has once again demonstrated his military prowess as he inspects a powerful multi-rocket launcher test with his daughter. Kim Jong Un on Saturday supervised the testing of 12 ultra-precise 600 mm caliber rocket launchers off the country’s east coast, according to state media on Sunday. The move is being seen as a strong response to the ongoing annual Freedom Shield military exercise between the US and South Korea.
North Korea recently warned that it would give a befitting reply to these joint military exercises, which it sees as preparation and provocation for an attack on itself. During the test, Kim Jong Un made it clear that this exercise is enough to unsettle his enemies. He said that no enemy military infrastructure that comes within the range of the firepower of these weapons will be able to survive. Kim also underlined that through this test the world will be able to better understand the destructive power of their tactical nuclear weapons.
According to the South Korean military, about 10 ballistic missiles were fired from North Korea into the East Sea on Saturday. South Korea’s National Security Council has strongly condemned this act. The council called it a direct violation of UN Security Council resolutions that prohibit any type of ballistic activities by North Korea. Experts believe that the main target of these rockets with a range of 420 kilometers is South Korea and the American military bases stationed there.
During this military inspection, Kim Jong Un’s daughter, Kim Ju Ae was also seen with him. In the photos, father and daughter are seen walking near huge olive-green launching trucks and observing the launch of the weapons. Nearly 13-year-old Kim Ju Ae has been actively seen accompanying her father at major military parades and weapons tests since late 2022. South Korean intelligence agencies estimate that Kim Jong Un is grooming his daughter as his successor. It is noteworthy that Kim Jong Un had recently given a direct threat to America and said that if any military action was taken in collaboration with South Korea, its consequences would be extremely disastrous.
