Gautam Adani-led company Adani Green Energy Limited is setting up the world’s largest renewable energy plant in the desert area of Khavra in Kutch, Gujarat. This plant spread over 538 square kilometers was mentioned by Pranab Adani, nephew of Gautam Adani and director of Adani Enterprises, in his recent interview on television. This solar plant is five times bigger than Paris, now understand how huge it is.
He mentioned this while talking about the company’s clean-energy project. This plant was started in 2023 and in these two years it achieved a capacity of 5000 MW or 5 GW. The company aims to increase its capacity to 30 gigawatts in the coming five years.
This project will be visible even from the moon
Pranab Adani described this project as so big that in future it can be visible even from the moon. According to him, it is expected that by 2030 it will be ready as the world’s largest renewable energy park. Also known as Hybrid Renewable Energy Park, electricity is generated using both solar and wind energy in this plant.
Its biggest feature is that the plant is completely AI based. Of course, thousands of engineers and workers are engaged day and night in the work of making it, but there are many tasks which are done by robots like cleaning work etc.

Pranab Adani said, “If we talk about renewable energy, Adani Group is playing a big role in it. Our aim is to become the world’s largest renewable energy generation company by 2030.” The area around Khavra near the India-Pakistan border is extremely hot and dry.
Here the desert stretches for miles, in the 42 degree heat the winds blow at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Where life is difficult to even imagine, setting up the world’s largest renewable energy plant is indeed no less than a great achievement in itself. Pranab Adani says that the isolated area here actually makes it perfect for a big renewable energy project. On top of that, the company is now converting this unused land into something valuable.
electricity needs will be met
Pranab Adani further said that work on clean energy is going on rapidly in India. To meet the 24-hour electricity requirement in the country, coal-based electricity is still required. However, modern ultra-supercritical coal technology produces much lower emissions than older systems. He said that this renewable energy plant will significantly increase the share of clean energy in India, at a time when the country is trying to meet its climate commitments along with rapid development.
