Apart from being the main headquarters of the Iranian Navy, Bandar Abbas is a naval base built for the purpose of controlling Iran’s Hormuz Strait. Trump has said that the main objective of American officials is to destroy Iran’s naval force. America has so far said it will destroy 10 Iranian ships.

The main headquarters of the Iranian Navy and many of its most capable ships and submarines are stationed at this base. In the pictures, dense black smoke can be seen in most parts of the naval base. A cloud of smoke is rising at one place. The effects of the attack can be seen in many parts of the facility. Assessment of photographs shows that the floating dock has been seriously damaged, patrol boats have been damaged, the building has been completely demolished.
Comparing Monday’s images and earlier photos, it appears that one and perhaps two frigate-sized warships were also attacked. This is clearly one of the most valuable targets at the port. The Kilo class submarine and small submarines in the port were not harmed.
