Bangladesh government faces challenges like improving relations with India, protection of minorities

Dhaka. Now BNP is in government in Bangladesh. The new government elected with majority faces the challenges of getting the country’s economy back on track, improving relations with India, protecting minorities as well as dealing with fundamentalism. BNP Central Committee member and MP Dr. Abdul Moin Khan has an important contribution in making the policy of the party and the government. Moin Khan is considered a close advisor of PM Rahman.
According to media reports, Moin Khan said that the first challenge before the government is to improve the economy. Millions of dollars were taken out of Bangladesh. The industry has been destroyed. Businessmen became part of the government. The second challenge is to improve the democratic structure. The third challenge is to restore the institutions. From bureaucracy to judiciary and banking system, everything has to be restored. This situation was created due to the dictatorship and wrong policies of Awami League.
He said that the basic mantra of Bangladesh’s foreign policy is friendship with all, enmity with no one. BNP believes in this. We will follow this policy in future also. Foreign policy cannot be clapped with one hand. There should be warmth from both sides. Regarding relations with neighboring countries, he said that relations with a neighboring country like India depend on how India has made changes in its policy. Indian leaders, foreign and defense policy makers should together make a policy for Bangladesh. I think India will have to change its foreign policy towards Bangladesh. He has to understand what has gone wrong in the last decade and a half.
Moin Khan said that Sheikh Hasina case is an issue. If you ask someone that the person who ruined your country is taking refuge in another country, then it is natural to get this feeling. Absolutely. It depends on India what they want to do. If someone has done injustice to 18 crore people, then justice should be done. I think India will increase its understanding about Bangladesh. If they think about the shortcomings of their foreign policy, they will definitely try. Our leader Tariq Rehman has said that we do not do politics of hatred. We want to ensure that justice is done. The people of Bangladesh have formed their own opinion on this. Legal avenues and process will be looked into in this matter. The people of Bangladesh are religious in nature. It would not be correct to say that they are religious fanatics. There are more followers of Islam in Bangladesh, but their thinking is open towards Hindus, Christians and Buddhists. Some people try to make religion a tool of politics.
