Chinese tourist bus stuck in the ice of Lake Baikal, 8 dead

Beijing. A bus carrying Chinese tourists sank into the ice of Russia’s Lake Baikal, killing eight people. Officials gave this information in the media report. The governor of the Irkutsk region wrote in a post on Telegram that a Chinese tourist managed to escape from the bus crossing the frozen lake in the incident that occurred on Friday. He said that the dead included seven Chinese tourists and the driver of the bus. Russia’s emergency ministry said rescuers used underwater cameras before beginning the operation.
