Pakistan is struggling with internal instability. The Pakistani Army is taking military action against the separatist organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan province. Pakistan has named its operation ‘Operation Hereof Phase 2’. Baloch insurgents launched several simultaneous attacks in several towns in the restive province. In which at least 80 security personnel were killed and more than 30 government properties were destroyed.

Pakistan claims that at least 177 Baloch rebels have been killed in the army action. However, prominent leader of Baloch National Movement, Hakim Baloch has rejected Islamabad’s claim. In Balochistan, the Pakistani Army appears weak and helpless in front of the Baloch Liberation Army. The army has surrendered before the Baloch fighters. On which a big confession has been made by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif. Khawaja Asif lamented his helplessness in the National Assembly and admitted that the Pakistani army is incapable of facing the Baloch fighters. Khawaja accepted that the strength of BLA is very high. He said that Balochistan is geographically spread over more than 40 percent of Pakistan. Controlling it is much more difficult than controlling a densely populated city. He emphasized that this requires deployment of a large number of soldiers. At the same time, he confessed that our soldiers are deployed there and are taking action against them, but they are physically unable to protect and patrol such a large area.
