The release date of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and South actress Sai Pallavi’s film ‘Mere Raho’ has been postponed. The makers were earlier planning to release the film on December 12, but due to many big films being released in December, Aamir Khan thought it better to push his son’s film forward. Aamir Khan has produced this film under his production house. They are now preparing to release it next year i.e. in the summer of 2026. It is believed that ‘Mere Raho’ will now hit the big screen in July 2026.
The shooting and post production work of this film of Junaid and Sai was completed long ago. The responsibility of promotion of the film was also in the hands of Aamir Khan. However, he had already realized that releasing ‘Mere Raho’ in December was not a good idea. The way Dhurandhar reviewed many films released in December, it is clear that Aamir’s decision has proved to be absolutely right.
Aamir Khan’s wisdom worked!
A source told Mid Do how postponing the film was a commercially wise decision. The source said, “The month of December was full of many big films. Dhurandhar was a big film and Aamir had already understood this. Apart from this, there was a big romantic comedy film (Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri) starring Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey in December. So, avoiding conflict was a commercially wise decision.” It was also said that if Junaid’s film had been released, it would have faced problems at the level of distribution and exhibition.
Sai’s Bollywood debut before Ramayana
‘Mere Raho’ will be Junaid Khan’s second theatrical release after Loveyapa. This film will be Sai Pallavi’s debut picture in Bollywood. However, he is also a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. But this film will release in November on the occasion of Diwali. In such a situation, Sai’s debut will be with ‘Mere Raho’ coming in July.
For information, let us tell you that the release date of this film has not changed for the first time. Earlier it was to be released on 7th November, but the makers postponed it to 12th December. Not only this, the name of the film has also been changed. Before ‘Mere Raho’, this film was named ‘Ek Din’.
