Even after removing Maduro, America captured the fifth oil tanker

oil washington. Even after ousting Nicolas Maduro from home, the US Army’s attack on Venezuela has not diminished. Releasing a video footage on Monday, it was said that they have seized another oil tanker traveling to and from Venezuela. This is the fifth Venezuelan tanker captured by the US in the last few days.

According to the Southern Command of the US Army, this action was taken by US Marines and Naval personnel. Announcing the seizure of the Venezuelan vessel Olina, the army wrote that now no place is safe for criminals. US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also called the motor tanker seized in international waters near the Caribbean Sea a stern warning to criminals.

The military also posted a video on social media site X, in which an American helicopter can be seen landing on the ship and American personnel searching the ship. The Olina is the fifth tanker seized by US forces and comes as part of a broader effort by President Donald Trump’s administration to control the global distribution of Venezuelan oil products. Especially at a time when President Nicolas Maduro has been suddenly removed from power.

Moscow welcomed the decision to release the Russians

Earlier, America has decided to release two Russian citizens aboard the seized tanker Marinera. Welcoming the decision, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement, “In response to our request, US President Donald Trump has decided to release two Russian citizens from the crew of the tanker Marinera seized by the US during an operation in the North Atlantic.”

“We welcome this decision and express our gratitude to the US leadership,” Zakharova said in a statement posted on the ministry’s Telegram channel.

It is noteworthy that the US Coast Guard had seized the Russian-flagged tanker Marinera (formerly known as Bela-1) in the North Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday. There were 17 Ukrainian citizens, six Georgian citizens, three Indian citizens and two Russian citizens on board. There is still confusion regarding the fate of other crew members including three Indians.
