
Dhaka. Tariq Rahman, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has returned to the country after 17 years. He fled to London in 2008 to avoid arrest. At that time, many corruption cases were going on against him in Hasina government. More than 1 lakh workers of his party BNP gathered to welcome Tariq. Road show conducted from Dhaka airport to 300 feet road. It took him 3 hours to cover this 13 kilometer route. Tariq gave a speech for 17 minutes on 300 feet road. During this he said that we will establish peace in the country and create a new Bangladesh. However, he did not say a single word about Sheikh Hasina. Tariq Rahman has said in his speech that today the people of Bangladesh want to get back their right to speak. He further said that now the time has come that we all together build the country. This country belongs to the people of the mountains and the plains, of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. We want to create a safe Bangladesh, where every woman, man and child can leave and return home safely.
Tariq said in his speech that he has a plan to improve the country. He said that whether men, women or children, maintaining the peace and dignity of Bangladesh should always be our first priority. We all will work together and build our Bangladesh. Tariq Rahman said in his speech that his wish is that every person of Bangladesh should be safe. He asked everyone to avoid violence and together contribute to the building of the country.
