Khawaja Asif in trouble after inaugurating a fake pizza outlet

Khawaja Asif in trouble after inaugurating a fake pizza outlet

islamabad. Such strange and surprising incidents often come to light in Pakistan, which become a topic of discussion in no time. The latest case is related to Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who recently inaugurated the new outlet of a famous international fast food chain Pizza Hut with great fanfare. The ribbon was cut, there was applause and pictures were shared on social media, but within hours the celebration turned into a huge humiliation for the Defense Minister.
Actually, the outlet which was inaugurated by the Defense Minister turned out to be completely fake. As soon as the inauguration photos went viral, the original Pizza Hut company issued a clarification through its official social media handle. The company clearly said that they have not opened any new outlet in Sialkot and the shop which has been inaugurated by the Defense Minister is using their brand name and logo illegally. The company even clarified that this fake outlet has nothing to do with their international recipes, quality standards and food safety regulations. After this revelation, Khwaja Asif and the government are being made fun of on the social media of Pakistan. People are raising the question that the Defense Minister of a country, who is responsible for national security, is not aware enough to differentiate between an international brand and its fake copy? Pakistani citizens reacted sharply and said that when serious issues like the country’s economy, diplomacy and defense system are in crisis, the minister is busy cutting the ribbon of fake pizza shops.
Social media users have described this incident as a symbol of the current situation in Pakistan. One user sarcastically wrote that when there is nothing real left in the country, then ministers will also inaugurate fake shops. Some people even said that since the country’s condition rests on fake development, the minister also had to become a victim of fake branding. This incident has not only damaged the personal image of Khawaja Asif, but has also raised big questions on the functioning and seriousness of the Pakistani administration at the international level. At present, this matter has become the center of a mixture of laughter and anger across the country.
