The name of the film ‘Dhurandhar’ is buzzing at the box office and social media. Everyone is seen praising the film and every character. The film depicts Lyari Town located in Karachi, Pakistan. The shooting of the film has not been done at any real place but a complete set has been built. It is being told that most of the shooting has been done in Bangkok. In which a lot of hard work has gone into creating sign boards written in Urdu, old-time vehicles and local Pakistan look.
Production designer of ‘Dhurandhar’ Saini S Johar has told many things about the film, in which he has also given information about the shooting location of the film. He told how a scene like Lyari was shown in Bangkok.
The set of Lyari was made in Bangkok
‘ Talking to the reporter, Johar said, “It took them 20 days to prepare the set of Lyari on 6 acres of land for the shooting of the film Dhurandhar. In Bangkok, we could not take too many people from India, so we worked with the artists there. People from Thailand worked day and night every day to build the set.”
About 500 people worked daily to build the set of Dhurandhar. He said, “We had 300 to 400 Thai people and in total, about 500 people, who worked day and night for 20 days to build this six-acre set.” Apart from this, a big set was built in Mumbai to show the story in depth.
He said, “With the huge cast we had, it was not possible to shoot the film in Mumbai with all the stars. We needed a huge set of six acres and a studio was not an option. Our shooting date was in July, which meant shooting in Mumbai during the monsoon was not possible. We did recce in many countries and Thailand was finally chosen. That place was perfect to build a big set.
Dhurandhar’s blast
Dhurandhar film has so far made a total business of Rs 411.25 crore from the Indian box. Its name is being counted among the films doing highest business in Hindi on the 12th day. In this list, Dhurandhar has now come at the first place with Rs 30 crores. There is a lot of craze among the audience regarding the film Dhurandhar.
