According to reports, the shooting of the first installment has ended and now the editing work is going on. There was news in October 2025 that the makers of Ramayana are now working on VFX. The film will be completed by summer 2026 so that the film will be released on Diwali.

In the film, Ranbir will play the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita. Yash will play the role of Ravana in the film. Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman and Ravi Dubey will play the role of Laxman. Kajal Aggarwal will play the role of Mandodari and Rakul Preet Singh will play the role of Shurpanakha.
Apart from these, the film also stars Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Indira Krishnan.
