Adani-Ambani’s status reduced among billionaires, both in top-3 in losing wealth

This year, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Group and Gautam Adani of Adani Group have suffered a big setback. After Larry Ellison, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani are in the list of billionaires who lost wealth this year. Adani has lost $14.5 billion so far this year. Of these, he lost 7.88 billion dollars on Friday itself. At the same time, in the latest list of Bloomberg Billionaires Index dated January 26, Adani has also lost the crown of the second richest person in Asia. Now Chinese businessman Zhong Shanshan has come to this position. At the same time, Ambani has suffered a loss of $ 15.1 billion this year and he is in danger of being out of the top-20 list of the world’s richest people. Ambani is the 19th richest person in the world with $92.6 billion.

Reason for decline in Adani’s net worth

In fact, shares of Adani Group companies fell by 13% on Friday. Shares of Adani Group companies fell after the news of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seeking court approval to issue summons to Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani in the alleged fraud and bribery case of US $ 265 million. However, Adani Group rejected the allegations and said that the allegations of US prosecutors are baseless and the group is in compliance with all laws.
