America will not deliberately target girls’ school in Iran: Rubio

Washington. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the US Defense Ministry will investigate the attack on a school in Iran. He said that it would be investigated whether it was really an American attack. According to media reports, on February 28, an attack was reported on a girls’ primary school in Minab County in the southern Hormozgan province.
According to the report, Marco Rubio was asked at a press conference about the attack on a school in Iran, to which Rubio said that he had seen the reports and the Defense Department would investigate whether it was a US attack. He said that America will not deliberately target any school. He accused Iran itself of targeting innocent people in the region. When asked if it was a deliberate attack, Rubio replied, “If it happened, it is tragic.” However, he also said that he does not know much about this.
According to the report, Iranian officials have claimed that a girls’ school in Minab was also targeted in this attack. In the video that surfaced, a crowd of worried people was seen around a damaged building. This place is near the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps base, which has been targeted earlier also. According to Iranian officials, at least 153 people, including children, were killed in the attack on the school. The Central Command of the US Army said on Sunday that it is investigating reports of this incident.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had shared a picture of a damaged building on Twitter on February 28. Araghchi had written that the building that was attacked was a girls’ primary school in the south of Iran. He had written that this school was bombed in broad daylight, when small children were studying here. Dozens of innocent children have been murdered at this place alone. These crimes against the Iranian people will be answered.
