AR Rahman’s statement on ‘Chhaava’, said – the film polarized

AR Rahman Chhaava Controversy: In discussion these days. Famous musician AR Rahman’s statement regarding the film ‘Chhaava’ is becoming increasingly viral on social media. During an interview, he said that the film creates polarization among people, although he believes that the original purpose of the film was to show bravery and history.

In an interview given to BBC Asian Network, AR Rahman talked openly about Bollywood films and ‘Chhaava’. He said that ‘Chhaava’ is a film which has taken advantage of division in the society. However, he also added that the aim of the film was to highlight courage and bravery. Rahman told that he had also asked the director why he was selected for this project. In response to this the director said that he only needed AR Rahman.

Speaking on the AR Rahman Chhaava Controversy, the musician said that the film is entertaining, but today’s audience is more discerning than ever. When asked whether people are influenced by films, he said that people have an inner consciousness through which they can differentiate between truth and manipulation.

Along with this, AR Rahman also expressed pride about the music of the film. In an emotional post, he said that Chhaya is one of the most famous personalities in Maratha history. The poem sung at the end of the film reflects the heartbeat and soul of every Maratha.

It is noteworthy that Vicky Kaushal has played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film ‘Chhaava’. This film, released in the year 2025, received tremendous love from the audience and earned Rs 716.91 crore. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman, which is garnering appreciation even amidst the AR Rahman Chhaava Controversy.
