British MP urges government to intervene to protect Hindus in Bangladesh

London. Britain’s opposition leader Priti Patel has called on the government to intervene in the rise in violence in Bangladesh, including killings of minorities, and use its influence to bring stability to the country. Opposition Conservative Party MP Preeti Patel posted her letter to British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper on social media, in which she has also called on the Labor Party government to make a statement on this issue in the ‘House of Commons’.
MP Patel said that the situation in Bangladesh is very worrying. Religious freedom must be protected and the killings and atrocities against Hindus are wrong and must be stopped. He said the UK government should use its influence and coordination powers to bring stability to Bangladesh and protect religious freedom and keep minorities safe. In her letter to Cooper, Priti Patel referred to reports of the killing of at least six Hindus in Bangladesh in recent weeks.
