These students said – Generations may change, but the truth does not change.
According to media reports, students of Dhaka University said that in 1971, the identity of 30 lakh martyrs and 2 lakh women were attacked. There will be no compromise with the freedom gained at such a heavy cost. Let us tell you that Bangladesh celebrates its Victory Day every year on 16 December. On this day in 1971, the Pakistani Army surrendered to the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini in Dhaka. With this Bangladesh became an independent country. Mohammad Yunus is the country’s chief administrator after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government last year. Under Yunus’ rule, Bangladesh has gone beyond traditional values and joined hands with Pakistan. After this, Yunus and Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif met in New York and Cairo. Senior officers of Pakistan Army visited Dhaka and officers of Dhaka visited Pakistan. The self-interest based relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan have an impact on India as well. According to the report, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists are active inside Bangladesh. These terrorists are roaming freely even near the Indian border.
Let us tell you that in March 1971, when Bengali nationalism emerged in East Pakistan, the Pakistani government started “Operation Searchlight” on the night of 25 March 1971 to crush it. Pakistani Army attacked Dhaka University, Police Lines and Hindu settlements. Students, professors, intellectuals and journalists were selectively killed. During this period, lakhs of people died in the first few weeks. Operation Searchlight is counted among the most horrific massacres in history.
